State Ambassador Program

The purpose of the Educators Rising Ohio student ambassador program is to increase student voice, engagement, and train future leaders for the organization and in the Education Career Field. The ambassador program will allow students to gain leadership experience, have their voice heard on the state level, and network with other student leaders and chapters from around Ohio.

Program Details:

  • Ambassadors serve a one-year term, with the option to reapply for a second year or pursue a state officer position.

  • Each chapter may nominate up to two applicants.

  • Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.

Application Deadline: November 25th.

Selected ambassadors will be notified by December 12, 2025 and begin their term on December 17, 2025, serving until the Spring 2026 induction ceremony.

  • The Ambassador Program aims to:

    • Increase student voice and engagement at the state level

    • Train future leaders for Educators Rising Ohio and the broader education profession

    • Provide students with leadership experience and networking opportunities with other student leaders and chapters across Ohio

  • Educators Rising Ohio Student Members in good standing in grades 7–12

    • Provide voice and guidance to the Executive Committee by representing their chapter, district, and region

    • Provide support to other chapters, EdRising members, and prospective programs that are interested in starting EdRising

    • Representing EdRising at special events, conferences, or presentations in their area

    • Attend all Executive Committee meetings, either in person or virtually, unless excused by the State Coordinator

    • Greeting members, teacher leaders, judges, and dignitaries

    • Creating and maintaining relaxation spaces

    • Assisting with engagement activities

    • Supporting the award ceremony
